God Dethroned
The Dutch scene has been creating death metal bands for years. In 1991 another representative with a blasphemous, satanic and warlike attitude appeared on it – God Dethroned. The initiator of the band was singer and guitarist Henri Sattler.
The distinctive feature of the band from a small town of Beilen, apart from their death metal, is the stubbornness of its leader. He disbanded the band several times, but after some time he came back with new energy and new musicians. Personal troubles did not stop God Dethroned from recording many albums, to mention just The Grand Grimoire, Into the Lungs of Hell, or Under the Sign of the Iron Cross or tracks like No Man's Land, Escape Across the Ice, Nihilism. Since 2014, God Dethroned has been working continuously and Henri is now working with Mike Ferguson (guitar), Jeroen Pomper (bass) and Michael Van Der Plicht (drums).
