Galerie Prostora

The architect behind the creation of the Galerie Prostora is Marcela Steinbachová, founder of the studio Skupina, the [Kruh] association (https://goout.net/cs/spolek-kruh/pzioqvf/) and director of its activities (lecture series on architecture, the Den architektury festival and the Film and Architecture festival, publishing publications). The space is located in the former telephone exchange at 9 Blanická Street above náměstí Míru, on the 1st floor. The name of the gallery is based on a synonym of the more commonly used word “prostor” (in English “space”), but “prostora” defines a more defined, bounded environment, in this case an exhibition space. In 2023 and 2024, Prostora will focus on presenting the collections of contemporary artists.
