Galeria Sztuki Nowoczesnej MOB
The Bydgoszcz Gallery of Modern Art is a display of selected, most representative works in the collection of the city's District Museum. It is located in the building of a former watermill on the Wyspa Młyńska Island, the so-called Red Granary; the building is also the seat of the Museum Art Department. The proposed layout of the exhibition is chronological and problem-based, and reflects specific trends, currents and creative attitudes in Polish art of the last hundred years, including the circle of École de Paris artists, avant-garde groups of the inter-war period (Rytm, Bractwo św. Łukasza, the Polish Formists, Zwornik, the Paris Committee), colourism, expressive abstraction and the painting of matter, geometric expression and the accompanying conceptual reflection, new figuration, photo-realism, the surrealist-metaphorical current and critical art.
