Freetown Quartet

Freetown Quartet is a Czech-Danish project formed in the legendary jazz club Børneteateret in Copenhagen's quirky Christiania district.

The band was formed in 2019 in Copenhagen, Denmark, where saxophonist Luboš Soukup and pianist Vojtěch Procházka met to record an LP at the legendary Børneteateret club in the autonomous Copenhagen district of Christiania. Energetic playing, freedom of expression and boundless imagination are the hallmarks of the quartet's musical performances, and the "unadorned" nature of their expression is as welcome an asset as the players' congenial commitment.
