Flores Rosarum
The vocal ensemble Flores Rosarum (Rose Petals) was founded in 2006 out of love for the extraordinary musical work of the medieval mystic Hildegard of Bingen. The founder of the ensemble is Susi Ferfoglia. The ensemble brings together singers who are professionally involved in early music and historical performance practices. The ensemble has performed such works as: songs from Llibre Vermell, Codex Calixtinus, Laudario di Cortona and Gregorian chant (e.g. from Graduals found in the archives of Wawel Cathedral). Flores Rosarum has given concerts at many festivals in Poland and abroad. The ensemble is currently working on Jan Olbracht's Gradual (Wawel ms 44, 43 and 42) and the music of female monasteries in Małopolska in the Middle Ages.
