Ethel Cain, real name Hayden Silas Anhedönia born March 24, 1998, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and model. She is known for her lyrics focusing on nostalgic and Southern Gothic themes, while her music is associated with the genres of ambient, indie rock and contemporary folk.
Cain released several records under various pseudonyms before officially launching her main project in mid-2019. Her debut studio album Preacher's Daughter was released in 2022 to critical acclaim. Her studio recording Perverts followed in 2025.
