Entropa

The famous sculpture that moved Europe, the nearly legendary work of David Černý, a symbol of the Czech Presidency of the Council of Europe. The eight-ton Entropa stirred up the calm waters of Modern European Art in 2008 and since then, it has forced each of its viewers to make their own opinion and thus indirectly comment on the organization of the European Union. Entropa, which has been called "controversial," independently portrays stereotypical perceptions of 27 out of the 28 current countries of the EU. Germany covered with highways, Austria as a nuclear power plant, Italy full of football players and Poland as a potato field occupied by Catholics: what do we know about present-day Europe and about the clichés that accompany its nations?
