EllyZ
EllyZ is a Czech singer, songwriter, lyricist, dancer and DJ.
She started her journey in the Aqua Babes project, but today she is already making music as part of her solo career in the rhythm of reggae and dancehall. She grew up on theatre boards, played the flute from a young age, spent several years in the Bambini di Praga choir, and in 2010 was accepted as the youngest ever member of Yemi A.D.'s JAD Dance Company.
In 2020 she released an eponymous EP, followed by her debut album Zamilovaná (2021), performances at festivals Beats for Love, Uprising and opening for Polish reggae star Kamil Bednark as part of the Liveurope project in Warsaw.
In October 2024, the second album entitled Víc seggsu míň seggsismu will be released under the production supervision of the well-known Czech musician, DJ and producer Cocoman. The album will offer thirteen songs, a trio of singles V životní formě, Čiči and Hodná holka with a guest appearance by Slovak artist Pokyman. Czech lyrics and upbeat indie dance pop with dancehall riddims.
