ehh hahah
A Kraków artist whose practice spans generative music, playful club tunes and melancholic memes. First becoming prominent as the curator of an avant-garde Facebook page also named ehh hahah – a central fixture of a post-Internet artistic microscene that became known by the much-rejected moniker 'hard glitch' – he subverted that scene's pervasively ironic outlook with art that was willing to engage with the sincere and the quotidian; this sensibility carried over to his music when he debuted on the tape label MAGIA with 2016's Kaseta. Full of experimentation and a willingness to blend the non-obvious with the obvious, his work has been described by The Brooklyn Rail as discursive, but not disjointed, circuiting freely among the tokens and trappings of digitized pop, bass music, bit-crushed drone, and electroacoustic music, while offering the necessary shibboleths of none. He's released music on Pedicure, Glamour and several Polish indies; in recent years, his practice has turned more towards collaborative work, including duos with pianist Joanna Wabik and avant-pop crooner Spalarnia.
