East Slovak Museum in Košice

The East Slovak Museum in Košice is one of the oldest and most important museums in Slovakia. Imrich Henszlmann was the initiator of the idea to establish an institution that would take care of the preservation of monuments from Košice and its surroundings. The East Slovak Museum in Košice has three departments - the Department of Science, the Department of History and the Department of Art History. The museum still offers visitors expositions and exhibitions.
