EABS

EABS draw on musical tradition and modernity in a very original and creative way. They continue the tradition of the Polish school of jazz, escaping at the same time many sound schemes and presenting a completely new approach, opposing the established musical standards. Their album Repetitions (Letters to Krzysztof Komeda) proved to be a sensation of the Polish jazz scene. The phonographic bestseller provided the band with a number of industry awards, and the comedian repertoire of the band played during almost a hundred concerts, among others in Great Britain (London, Manchester, Liverpool), at the BuSH festival in Hungary, as well as in China. In the latest Slavic Spirits the musicians focused on Slavic mythology and Polish demonology, while reflecting on the contemporary spiritual condition of Poles. The main inspiration for this album is the enigmatic "Slavic melancholy", which the band tried to find in their own DNA. It is an attempt at contact with the world irretrievably and brutally lost culture, which due to the lack of wealth of sources will never be thoroughly investigated.
