Doogie White
Douglas "Doogie" White (born 7 March 1960) is a Scottish rock vocalist. White currently sings for La Paz and Alcatrazz. He has also notably sung for Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, Praying Mantis and Tank.Doogie White is the legendary 'voice' of the world's greatest guitarists and an extraordinary figure, on the rock stage. Among other things, the Scottish singer recorded his last studio album with Ritchie Blackmore's legendary Rainbow band, entitled Stranger in Us All, backed by a pair of world tours. At the beginning of the millennium, he joined virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen and his Rising Force, with whom he recorded two albums and toured extensively for the next seven years. Later, fate linked him with Michael Schenker, the legendary guitarist of the Scorpions and UFO. The collaboration resulted in two studio and live albums with Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock and continued in Schenker's subsequent solo work.
His musical biography includes touring with absolute icons, including Jon Lord, where he performed legendary vocal parts during concerts in the Concerto for Group and Orchestra series. White is one of rock's busiest vocalists. He currently performs with the famous Alcatrazz, which has featured such giants as Steve Vai, the aforementioned Yngwie Malmsteen and former Rainbow vocalist Graham Bonnet. In 2020, he recorded the songs The Machine and *All Ive Known* with Polish guitarist Bartosz "Bratek" Wojcik, which were included on Bratek
s solo album.
