Dogstar
The music group Dogstar is an American alternative rock band formed in 1991 in Los Angeles, California. The founding members were bassist Keanu Reeves and drummer Robert Mailhouse, later joined by guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose. The band began performing on the club scene and gradually expanded its live activities abroad. In the mid-1990s, it performed as an opening act for Bon Jovi during their tour in Australia and New Zealand.
In 1996, the band released its first EP titled Quattro Formaggi, followed the same year by its debut album Our Little Visionary. Four years later, the second studio album Happy Ending was released, after which the band ceased its activities in 2002.
After a twenty-year hiatus, Dogstar announced in 2022 that it would resume its musical activities and begin working on new material. In May 2023, the band performed at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival, where it introduced new songs. In July 2023, it released the single Everything Turns Around and simultaneously announced the release of its third studio album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, which was issued in October 2023.
