Des Rocs
Des Rocs is a music project by American musician Danny Rocco from New York. The project was formed after the breakup of his previous band Secret Weapons, in which Rocco performed as a singer and songwriter. Under the name Des Rocs, he began releasing his own material in 2018. Studio recordings are primarily created by Rocco, while live performances feature accompanying musicians William Tully and Eric Mendelsohn.
The project’s first releases were the EP Let The Vultures In (2018), followed by Martyr Parade (2019) and This Is Our Life (2020). These recordings gradually introduced the project to the international music scene and preceded the release of the first studio album, A Real Good Person in a Real Bad Place, which was released in 2021 through the label 300 Entertainment. In 2023, Des Rocs signed with Sumerian Records and released the second studio album Dream Machine. The album includes tracks such as Nowhere Kid, I Am the Lightning, and Never Ending Moment, and was accompanied by concert tours in North America and Europe.
The project has appeared on tours and at festivals alongside a number of well-known rock bands, including Muse, The Rolling Stones, The Cult, and Kaleo.
Recent work includes singles released after 2023, such as the song The Juice from 2025. Some newer tracks, for example This Land, have also been used in other media projects, including as music for the video game Borderlands 4.
