Dayseeker
Dayseeker is an American post-hardcore and metalcore band formed in 2012 in Orange County, California. The current lineup consists of Rory Rodriguez (vocals), Gino Sgambelluri (guitar), Ramone Valerio (bass), and Zac Mayfield (drums).
The band released its first recordings in 2012 and signed with InVogue Records a year later. In October 2013, they released their debut album What It Means to Be Defeated, which was reissued in 2014 with acoustic versions of selected tracks. In 2015, they followed with their second album Origin. In 2016, Dayseeker moved to Spinefarm Records and underwent lineup changes when Alex Polk and Andrew Sharp left the band.
In July 2017, the band released their third album Dreaming Is Sinking /// Waking Is Rising. This was followed by their fourth album Sleeptalk in 2019, which became an important milestone in their discography. In 2022, Dayseeker released the album Dark Sun, with lyrics inspired by personal experiences, including the passing of Rodriguez’s father. In April 2024, the band released Replica, an album featuring acoustic reinterpretations of earlier songs.
