Danitsa
Danitsa was born in Paris into a musical family, and since the age of 10, she has recorded vocals onto her father’s compositions. From him she inherited her interest for Jamaica, while through her mother, she discovered soul, funk and hip hop. At the crossroads of these influences she developed her own style, one that lies somewhere between the reggae of John Holt and Horace Andy and the soul of Curtis Mayfield, Queen Latifah and Erykah Badu. Danitsa now lives in Geneva, where local media consider her “the Swiss successor of Lauryn Hill” and part of the new wave of Swiss Hip Hop artists.
