Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej Solvay

The Solvay Centre for Contemporary Art belongs to the group of units administered by the Podgórze Cultural Centre in Krakow. The institution's task is to promote events in the field of contemporary art. The dominant fields of activity are visual arts, theatre, music and multimedia, as well as broadly understood creative education. For many years, the Centre has focused on the presentation and popularization of phenomena, tendencies and artistic attitudes on the basis of domestic and foreign art. Among various cultural projects, a special place is occupied by the art of young, often debuting artists. Apart from the diverse cultural offer, the centre offers activities for children, young people and adults. Participants can take advantage of such activities as theatre, dance, Pilates, art and stop-motion animation. The Centre is also home to the Solvay Brass Band and the Pogodna Jesień Song and Dance Ensemble.

CSW Solvay has a multifunctional auditorium, two exhibition spaces, a panel and workshop room and educational rooms – dance, ballet, music and art studio.
