Bronislava Smržová Tomanová
Bronislava Smržová Tomanová is a Czech soprano.
Since her childhood she has been playing violin and singing and over time she has focused mainly on solo singing. She graduated from the Jan Neruda Gymnasium with a musical focus under Prof. Magda Bělohlávková, the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University, the Prague Conservatory under Prof. Jarmila Krásová and a large number of master classes. He also studied singing with the singer Simona Procházková and Prof. Jarmila Chaloupková.
As a soloist she performs with the BERG Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Castle Guard and the Police of the Czech Republic, the Musica bohemica ensemble, the KOA Orchestra, among others. She also devotes herself to the song repertoire, for example the works of Bohuslav Martinů or Gideon Klein. He collaborates artistically with pianist Veronika Ptáčková and organist Eva Bublová. In collaboration with the conductor, composer and head of the Trauzel Music Society Jan Zástěra, she participated in the recording of several CDs, e.g. his oratorio Crowning of the Czech Kings (2017). In the same year she also recorded Jan Dobiáš's songs for Czech Radio. Her pedagogical activity is also very important. She is the founder of summer singing courses and the festival Singing Kouřim for young singers.
