Boris Band Combination
The band of pianist, synthesizer player and composer Boris Urbanek has been active since 1996. During its existence, Boris Band Combination has played hundreds of concerts at domestic venues, festivals, and abroad (Poland, Germany, France, Georgia). The band has produced dozens of young musicians from Ostrava who are now a firm part of the Czech professional music scene. The energetic Fusion music is mainly based on Boris Urbanek's compositions. Boris Urbánek during his rich career has worked as a pianist, composer, producer, publisher and bandleader of the Tutu and Joro projects. He has also been a member of M. Kratochvil's Jazz IQ, L. Andrsht's Blues Band, Peter Lipa Band, Marie Rottrová & Flamingo or B Side Band & Vojtěch Dyk and has written several musicals and film scores.
