Boom Pam
Coming from Tel Aviv, the Israeli band was founded in 2003 and plays a ,ixture of Jewish, Balkan, Greek, Mediterranean, Near-East and Romani music with an ample influence of rock. The above also ensues from the band lineup: two electric guitars (Uzi Feinerman and Uri Brauner Kinrot who are also the authors of the band’s original songs), percussion (Dudu Kochav) and a tuba (Yuval “Tuby” Zolotov).
A breakthrough moment in their career was the performance at the “world music fair” WOMEX 2006. Later that year, they recorded their eponymous debut album in Frankfurt, Germany, under the producer supervision by DJ Shantel, a major figure in European world music. Since then, they have managed to travel the world, release two more albums, collaborate with Balkan Beat Box and the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra.
