In early 2021, he auditioned for season 19 of American Idol after just one year of singing and won a golden ticket to Hollywood, but decided to step down at the last minute. In late July 2022, Boone released his first EP, Walk Me Home… which contained his debut single, Ghost Town that charted in 13 countries including the Billboard Hot 100 and viral hit, In The Stars.
