Babadlo
Babadlo is a puppet theater operating in Prešov. It was founded on June 1, 1995 with the aim of renewing the tradition of puppetry in the Šariš area.
Babadlo is the only professional theater of its kind in the entire Prešov region. The creation of the theater is focused mainly on the children's spectator, to whom it tries to present mainly the original Slovak work. However, the repertoire also includes world classics and auteur theater.
It is through theater, play, interaction, stage, puppetry, that it seeks to develop a sense of beauty and the arts in every visitor. During the almost 25 years of Babadlo's existence, about a million children from all over Slovakia have seen its work. Even though the theater has its permanent stage in Prešov at Solivarská 80, it is true to the tradition and essence of the theater and so it regularly sets out to its not only children's spectators throughout the country.
