Asunojokei
Japanese post-black metal four-piece, formed in 2014. Asunojokei's sound draws from a variety of sources, tearing genre conventions to shreds; with math rock and prog's twisted intensity, pretty shoegaze harmonies, catchy melodies straight out of J-pop anime theme songs and black metal catharsis, as well as little deference to metal decorum and kvlt aesthetics. They debuted with a demo in 2015, and have since released two EPs, splits with Pale, Nhomme, Tochu-Kaso and Unrequited, and two studio albums, the latest of which is 2022's Island.
