Asteria

The musical career of the artist performing under the name Asteria (real name Matthew Joines) began in 2021, when he started creating his own beats. In 2022, he released his first single titled Paranoid, which brought him a growing listener base on the SoundCloud platform. The following year, he began collaborating with Polish musician Kets4eki, with whom he released a joint EP, Rave2death, in August 2023 under the label Fabfantasy.

At the end of 2023, he gained recognition on international music charts. His track What You Want, released in December 2023 using the voice of the vocaloid Hatsune Miku, entered the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in February 2024 and eventually climbed to the 37th position. His next single, Eyes on Me, released in March 2024, reached the 42nd position on the same chart. On June 5, 2024, he released the track Tell Me Lies, a collaboration with producer Odetari, a member of the Artist Partner Group label.

Asteria is primarily associated with the genres of hyperpop, sigilkore, and scenecore. His musical and visual work draws inspiration from internet culture and subcultural aesthetics.
