Asako Someya
Asako Someya was born in Chiba, Japan, and began playing the violin at the age of three. From 2015 to 2019, she studied at the Tokyo College of Music, where she received her Bachelor's degree, under Professor Eiji Arai. She studied chamber music with professors Masaharu Kanda and Mazumi Tanamura. She was the winner of the 15th Junior Classical Music Competition in Japan. While studying at the Tokyo College of Music, she successfully auditioned and participated in the summer tour of the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra. In addition, she participated in the 40th International Summer Music Academy and Festival in Kusatsu and also attended the Panoch Quartet Masterclasses. She is currently (2024) studying at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Professor Jiří Panocha and Pavel Zejfart (Panocha Quartet).
