Arash
Arash (full name Arash Labbaf, born 23 April 1977, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian-Swedish singer, producer, and songwriter who has been active on the international music scene since 2004. His family moved from Iran to Sweden, where he later began his music career.
His debut studio album Arash was released in June 2005 by Warner Music Sweden. The album includes his early singles Boro Boro and Temptation (feat. Rebecca Zadig), both of which entered European music charts, and their music videos were broadcast on more than twenty MTV channels worldwide. Boro Boro reached number one on the Swedish singles chart and was included in the soundtrack of the Indian film Bluffmaster!. The song Temptation was also released in 2005 as a single by Arash featuring vocals by Rebecca Zadig and achieved notable positions in European charts, including the official Swedish chart.
In 2009, Arash represented Azerbaijan together with Aysel Teymurzadeh at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song Always, finishing in third place in the final.
Following his debut album, he released additional studio albums, including Donya (2008) and Superman (2014), on which he collaborated with a number of artists from various musical genres. The single She Makes Me Go (feat. Sean Paul) reached top ten positions in some European countries.
As part of his later work, Arash also released standalone singles after 2014 that did not appear in major charts but were regularly published on digital platforms. His more recent releases include the single Azizam Tonight, released in December 2025.
