Anna Jurksztowicz

Anna Jurksztowicz – vocalist and singer, also a music producer and songwriter. Although she is known for her hit songs and music for films and TV series, for many years she has also had in her repertoire, or rather in her musical abundance, songs supporting spiritual practices, such as gospel and spirituals, Carmelite canticles, Indian mantras and classical and contemporary songs to lyrics by outstanding poets (L. da Ponte; W. Szymborska; F.G. Lorca; Cz. Miłosz) and composers (I. J. Paderewski, W. A. Mozart). Her album Beyond time – music of the soul, (2013) is dedicated to contemplative music. She was one of the first artists in Poland to take up this subject in pop music. Anna draws inspiration from various sources, cultures, experiments with form, translates lyrics and searches. She practices yoga and is her teacher.

Anna Jurksztowicz is also a publisher and music producer. Her publishing and production company, founded in 2001, Si Music in a series dedicated to Polish contemporary music (Modern Classics from Poland) promotes the work of Polish composers and organizes music events in Poland and abroad.
