Angrusori Project

Angrusori is a pan-European project artistically led by Nils Henrik Asheim, bandleader of the avant-garde Norwegian ensemble Kitchen Orchestra. This ensemble of improvised music has collaborated with the world's leading avant-garde musicians over the years. The Czech violinist and singer Iva Bittová also took part in the Angrusori Project, together with amateur Roma musicians - Marcela and Jozef Dreveňákovci. Their knowledge and interpretation of Romani songs from eastern Slovakia are the basis of this project.

The result of the collaboration is also an album from a live concert, from 2021. It was released by Hudson Records under the name Angrusori Live at Tou. This record won the Radio Head Award 2021 for Best album in the World music and Folk category.
