Andreas Sebastian Weiser

Andreas Sebastian Weiser, a graduate of the University of the Arts in Berlin, became a finalist in the first year of the International Conductors' Contest of Arturo Toscanini in Italy in 1985. From their first concert together in Ravenna in 1995 he regularly performed with the violoncellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich (including a rendition of Britten's War Requiem with the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Turin, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the NDR Symphony Orchestra). Weiser cooperated on a regular basis with the legendary conductor Lorin Maazel as his assistant and with Zubin Mehta at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia opera house opening ceremony in Valencia. Andreas Sebastian Weiser has conducted, among others, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Bern Symphony Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra – Bavarian State Philharmonic, the MDR Symphony Orchestra in Leipzig, and the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra. He has given guest performances at the Lille Opera, the Opéra de Nice, the State Theatre in Kassel, the State Opera in Prague, the Teatro di San Carlo opera house in Naples, in Rome, Palermo, Barcelona and Madrid (The RTVE Symphony Orchestra).
