Andrea Belfi
Andrea Belfi is an Italian percussionist experimenting with electro-acoustic techniques. With Aidan Baker of Nadja and Erik Skodvin of Deaf Center, he co-founded the droning project B/B/S/. He plays drums in WaqWaq Kingdom, the band of DJ Scotch Egg and Kiki Hitomi. His true mastery, however, is shown solo, generating a multitude of sounds from delicate textures, as on his 2008 album Knots, to the rigorous post-minimalism of his 2017 album Ore.
