The screening of film projects created for virtual reality will take place at DOX – Centre for Contemporary Art. Event will be part of festival “One World 2020 Prague“.

Dreams of the Jaguar's Daughter – Mexican director Alfred Salazar-Caro, in his distinctive style, presents the virtual story of Guatemalan screenwriter Mayi Kaqchikel. The story takes place in the Guatemalan jungle, which finds itself under attack from enemies. The immersive narrative allows you to virtually enter the inner world, memories and dreams of a young immigrant through camera shots from a caravan, scanned 3D portraits and 360° videos. The project, developed as part of an interactive offshoot of the Tribecca Film Institute, featured in the official section of the festival, and was subsequently presented at the European premiere at the VR Arles festival and at Docaviv.

Cycling Across Barriers / Elliot Graves / Kypr 2020 / 8 min. – Collaborating creators from several leading universities and tech companies journey to a variety of places in a series of travel documentaries, using a different approach to discover each of them. In all of them, however, they observe the political and social influences of that corner of the world. In this episode they explore Cyprus directly from a bicycle saddle. They take part in an organised field trip with a local cyclist and activist, and listen to her story. This way of discovering the island is accessible not only to locals but also to tourists wishing to see Cyprus from beyond the beach.

A Violated Dream: The Colombian No Man's Land / Elliot Graves / Columbia 2019 / 15 min. – Collaborating creators from several leading universities and tech companies journey to a variety of places in a series of travel documentaries, using a different approach to discover each of them. In all of them, however, they observe the political and social influences of that corner of the world. In this case they visit Colombia and get to know it through the story of a man who used to collect the coca fruits used in the cocaine industry. The man now lives with his family outside civilisation, in a village surrounded by ruins in the middle of a territory that is struggling with the consequences of Colombia's socially insensitive politics.
