Amalia Obrębowska
She's been playing the violin since she was seven. Her adventure with improvisation began at the end of 2013, and a year later she discovered that she also enjoys writing and performing her own compositions. In the years 2014-2019 she studied at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the direction of Jazz and stage music in the class of Professor Henryk Gembalski, and from 2017 she is studying at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of Professor Mateusz Smoczyński. She is the winner of the audience award and special award at the Seifert Competition 2018 in Lusławice, a distinction in the New Jazz Hope Competition at the Novum Jazz Festival 2016 in Łomża and the Blue Note Poznań Competition 2017, and a finalist at the Krokus Jazz Festival 2017 and the Novum Jazz Festival 2017.
