Krakow Opera's educational workshops "Alice in Opera Land" are a series of meetings for children aged 6-9 years.

The funny, mysterious, fairy-tale meetings referring to the well-known story of Alice in Wonderland are a great opportunity for children to get to know opera from a different perspective. Passing through the keyhole, they will enter a magical land where they will discover operatic secrets. They will dance on an enchanted stave, create an unusual headdress for the Mad Hatter, see costumes and sets, learn about instruments, and—thanks to artistic experiments and new technologies—find out what the magic of the stage is all about.

The meetings are held on the Grand Stage of the Krakow Opera House, which for the duration of the workshops turns into a fairytale land of magic and sorcery. It is explored with the help of the Opera's artists and staff, but also with unusual interactive games that make the art of opera accessible and friendly. The meetings, which last about an hour, take place on Sunday mornings. They are attended by children in groups of up to 40 people. Each episode of the series introduces children to a different area of opera, revealing its secrets.

The meetings are led by Anna Adamus, for many years affiliated with Krakow Opera, the originator and organiser of educational and social projects for children, young people, disabled people, senior citizens and pregnant women. She collaborates with the national monthly magazine Bliżej Przedszkola (Closer to Preschool), writing song lyrics, scripts of performances and games for preschoolers. She is the originator, creator and host of a series of meetings for children "Poranki", awarded by the "Czas Dzieci" portal with the "Sunflower 2015" statuette in the "Music" category and in 2018 with the Parents' Award in the "Movement" category, as the most developmental Krakow initiative for children. A cultural manager by education, an educator by passion, privately she is a mother of a 3-year-old, with whom she the Instagram profile cudawianki_rudej_anki, where she shares her layers of creativity and positive energy.
