Adeb Chamoun
Adeb Chamoun was born in Syria, in the village of Al-Hasaka. Rhythm reigned supreme in his family, and he was introduced to the world of music by his older brother, Abdul - an acknowledged master of percussion instruments. Adeb Chamoun is extremely open to music from different regions of the world. Perhaps this is because he himself comes from a Syrian village with many cultures from different Arab countries. As a result, he has learned to play the darbuka in many styles. His playing is eclectic, and he is keen to experiment with percussion in jazz, ethnic music and also Polish folklore.
