Play of Juliusz Slowacki Theatre in Krakow based on the novel by Dominika Slowik.
The town of Cukrówka, in the Zmornicka Valley, somewhere near Wadowice. Seemingly an ordinary place, full of small-town longings, joys and problems. But… a girl walks naked in the streets at night, a body washed up in the nearby lake, one of the inhabitants becomes a fortune-teller, and miracles happen in the church. An aura of mystery and horror hangs over Cukrówka. What is really happening there? What is this dead body? What secrets do the people living there hide? And do we really want to discover them?
