Zbiory Archeologiczne MOB
The archaeological collection of the Bydgoszcz Muzeum Okręgowe is housed in the White Granary on Bydgoszcz's Wyspa Młyńska island. The building was constructed after 1789 in connection with an industrial complex on the island, erected in parallel with the construction of the Bydgoszcz Canal. The building served as a loading granary and grain warehouse for the nearby mills. After 1945, it became the property of the State Treasury and was leased to the State Grain Works until 1974. Repaired several times, it came into use in 1979 and became the property of the District Museum in 1997. Until 2007, it housed the History Department and an exhibition of handicraft; since 2009 it has been dedicated to the Museum's archaeological collection.
