Zajezdnia Popowice

The historic "Popowice" tram depot in Wrocław is an ideal place to see how the vehicles serving public transport in Polish cities have changed. The oldest trams stationed there date back to the turn of the 19th and 20th century, while the newest vehicle was built in the mid-1990s. In total, there are more than 30 historic public transport vehicles. The Popowice depot at the current 65A Legnicka Street was established in 1901 as the first depot of the Breslauer Straßen-Eisenbahn-Geselschaft (Wroclaw Street Railway Company) adapted for the operation of electric trams (earlier the company had operated horse-drawn trams).
