VJ Chuu

Malba | Chuu was born in Kyoto, Japan, and now lives in Berlin. In his paintings and drawings, influenced by Japan, the Berlin Wall, girls and the history of painting tools, he expresses nostalgia using techniques such as scratching and scaling colors and using dry impasto material to create a cracked surface. He adds modern elements from manga and anime, using acrylic, gouache, watercolor, ink, colored pencil, tea, oil, magazines and more.
