Trouble Fait'

Trouble Fait' were brought to life in 1986, a time in which alternative rock was very present in France. The formation went through several changes concerning the line-up: Seven bass players took the turn. For a period of time the band also used synthesizer basses to compensate the absence of a bassist, what is not uncommon in the era of New Wave. Furthermore, four bass players played in the band. All musicians brought their personal, unique influences to the sound of the band.

After several contributions to compilations the band released their debut album L'odeur des pavés in 1996 in own production. The receipts from the album sales were donated to an organization for children in distress. In 1998, the six track EP A Glowing Spark followed. It was recorded completely analogue as this matched the eighties sound of the band, inspired by groups such as Bauhaus, The Sisters Of Mercy, Joy Division or The Stranglers, better. The second six track EP Sub lumina prima was released in 2003 and contains various and very different pieces, a conscious decision of the musicians.

Trouble Fait' dive deeply into the gothic universe. Dark or mysterious lyrics sometimes conflict with playful melodies. Nevertheless, there is no entirely consistent line in the sound of the band.
