Authentic characters. The truth about the essence of creation and responsibility in art. In 1920, the director Viktor Sjöström is working on the film The Phantom Carriage based on a novel by the Nobel Prize winner Selma Lagerlöf, a work that will go down in cinema history. Before the screening, the writer meets Tora Teje, an actress on the threshold of her career. The insolent girl provokes the haughty Selma into revealing the secrets of her work.
