Traxman
The man behind Traxman is Cornelius Ferguson, who has been on the rise in the ghetto house and juke scene since the mid 90s, becoming a lgened of Chicago's club scene. He is a member of the DJ collective Geto DJz and is a part of the circle of the Ghetto Teknitianz around DJ Spinn and the meanwhile deceased DJ Rashad. Which his releases reaching back to the heyday of the Dance Mania label he has been a style-defining figure of footwork for a long time. The music of the exceptional West side talent breathes the spirit of soul, funk and the street's smart swag, furthermore, he is a great DJ. It is no surprise he has left behind the limits of the Chicago scene and has become a worldwide requested star, making footwork the same popular at places like Great Britain as it has been for a long time in the windy city.
Traxman's own productions on labels such as Dance Mania, Ghettophiles, BTB or Moveltraxx as well as Planet Mu live from his great sample art, hypnotic drum rhythms, cinetic percussion figures and a big dose of organic funk. Tracks like et Down Lil Momma, Let’s Get Diz Party Crackin and the legendary Pacman Juke have become milestones and show that Traxman has been playing in a different league since his beginnings.
