Mist
Mist is a project of a father and son based on improvised music from the borderland of ambient, jazz, traditional ethnic music and elements of classical music, sounds that bring the listener into a state of musical contemplation. There is no shortage of space and silence here.
Maciek Pruchniewicz is a guitarist, composer and music producer. He has collaborated and performed with Polish and foreign artists, including Antoni "Ziut" Gralak, Włodzimierz Kiniorski, Wojtek Waglewski, Michał Urbaniak, Tadeusz Nalepa, Małgorzata Ostrowska. In 1992-1998 he was a member of the Poznan Hot Water formation.
Symon Siwierski is a pianist, clarinettist and composer. Despite his young age, he has already gained a lot of experience working with many respected musicians. Already at the age of a dozen or so he started improvising at the piano and creating his own songs. Currently he plays in the band Swiernalis and creates music for theatre performances and film. He collaborated with Jan Jakub Kolski on the set of the movie Ułaskawienie. He played on Piano Day in Poznań in 2019. Currently he is working with the Teatr Ósmego Dnia. He combines electronic sounds with acoustic instruments in his music. He is working on his debut album, which, like he describes it, will be dominated by space and silence.
