Manon meurt

Rakovník’s Manon meurt have been on the scene since 2012, performing not only on domestic stages, but also abroad at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Holland, Ment Ljubljana in Slovenia, Reeperbahn in Hamburg and Waves Vienna in Austria. They have toured in Slovakia, France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine and the UK. The current line-up consists of not only singer, guitarist and bassist Katerina Elznicová and keyboardist David Tichy, but also drummer Jiri Bendl and guitarist Kryštof Korčák.

Their first untitled six-track EP was released in 2014. 2018 saw the release of their first full-length studio album MMXVIII, with Jan P. Muchow as the band’s mentor and producer. MMXVIII brought musical maturation and finding a balance between fragility, quiet to intimate sections and dynamic leaps into noise passages, the album received nominations for the Czech Music Critics Award Apollo 2018 and the Anděl Award in the Alternative and Electronica category 2018. In November 2023 they released the single Mirrors.
