Teatr im. Juliusza Osterwy

In its present shape, this theater was founded in 1921 as the City Theater, although earlier in the building occupied by the Theater Osterwa there were various theater groups renting the premises from a private company. Józef Grodnicki became the first director of the theater. During his tenure on the Lublin stage performed, among others Wojciech Brydziński, Stefan Jaracz, Kazimierz Kamiński, Wiktoria Kawecka, Lucyna Messal (Messalka), Bronisław Mierzejewski, Juliusz Osterwa, Ludwik Solski and Irena Solska.
