Sylwia Krzysiek

A graduate of the Vocal Faculty of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. A soloist of the Warsaw Chamber Opera. She is a winner of many awards at international competitions i.a.: 1st prize in the vocalist category and 2nd prize in the opera category at VII Concorso Internazionale di Canto Lirico (Biella, Italy 2008), a scholarship of the XXV Concorso Lirico Internazionale Iris Adami Corradetti (Padua, 2010), 3rd prize at V Concorso Lirico Internazionale Magda Olivero (Milan, 2011). She made her debut at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome with the title role in the J. Massenet’s opera Manon (2010). She took part in the premiere of the L. Gregoretti and N. Sani’s opera Cinderella at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo singing the main role (2011). In 2013, at the Grand Theatre in Łódź, she sang the title role in G. Donizetti’s opera Anna Bolena. She sang many Mozart’s parties, such as Konstanze in The Abduction from the Seraglio, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, First Lady in The Magic Flute, Despina in Cosi fan tutte as well as Rossini’s: Clorinda in Cinderella, Roggiero in Tancredi. In November 2015, she appeared at the opening of the Castle Opera in Szczecin as Oscar in G. Verdi’s A Masked Ball, and a year later she sang the role of Frasquita in G. Bizet’s Carmen. Since 2016 she has been participating in the Sounds of Art, a series of early music concerts which take place at the National Museum in Warsaw. In 2017, she performed at the Baroque Opera Festival at the Warsaw Chamber Opera in the J. B. Lully’s opera Armide and in J. Ph. Rameau’s opera Pygmalion. In April 2018, she took part in the premiere of The Abduction from the Seraglio by W. A. Mozart under the direction of Marcin Sompoliński. She appeared in a number of concerts with oratorio music, such as: Stabat Mater – G. Pergolesi, The St. Matthew Passion – J. S. Bach, Exult in God in every land – J. S. Bach, Stabat Mater – G. Rossini. She has worked with such conductors as Alain Guingal, Ben Bayl, Friedrich Heider, Marcin Sompoliński, Ruben Silva, Zbigniew Graca, Tadeusz Karolak.
