Świat i okolice: Gruzja – krainy Wysokiego Kaukazu

During the meeting, Krzysztof Nodar Ciemnołoński will talk about Georgian lands situated in the High Caucasus. He will talk about magical and inaccessible Tusheti, about fortified villages in Chevsureti, on the edge of Georgia and Chechnya, about Georgian Switzerland – Rača, and about Svaneti, known for its legendary defence towers, which protected against invasions and bloody family vengeances. We will move to places where time has stopped, where myths reign, and where everyday life takes place among monumental mountains, which for centuries have protected the secrets of Caucasian mountaineers. The meeting will be in the form of a stand-up show, an audio-visual slide show, filled with colourful stories and outtakes, lined with Caucasian absurd humour and a cheeky message.

Krzysztof Nodar Ciemnołoński – traveller with Georgian roots, author of over 160 articles and reports about Georgia (as well as about Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan) and over 60 travel videos on YouTube. Pilot and organiser of trips to the Caucasus, Central Asia and Russia, owner of Tamada Tour travel company, Georgian bakery Nodaris Puri at 14 Podmurna Street in Toruń and Nodaris Wine brand. President of the Tamada Foundation, which helps needy Georgians and the Polish community in Georgia. Since 2007 he has been dividing his life between Poland and Georgia, since 2014 he lives permanently in Tbilisi.
