Sugar MMFK (bourgeois João Michel Diau) is a rapper of Angolan origin living in Bonn, Germany. The rapper´s career began in 2015 with the Ohrfeigenmixtape project featuring his first hit Verlorene Stadt. An important inspiration for Sugar is US rap. As official support for Booba, he was on the big stage a year after his debut in Germany. The single Lolito followed in summer 2017. At the turn of the year 2017/2018, Sugar MMFK published the free track CinqTrois Scenario as a thank you for the loyalty of its fans.
In spring 2018, Sugar MMFK signed a contract with the Bantu Nation label. Only a short time later, the label was taken over by Chapter ONE/Universal Music. There the rapper released singles like Trikot Von Paris and the tape Allô Allô. Further singles followed in the course of 2018 with label colleague NU (Lass Laufen and Pass Auf). He also featured SAMY on the single Aboo in the end of 2018.
