Skansen Ziemi Łowickiej

The Museum of Lowicz Village in Maurzyce was established in the 70s of the 20th century. It collects monuments of rural architecture mainly from the former Duchy of Lowicz. It was opened to the public in the mid-eighties as a branch of the Museum in Łowicz. On the grounds of the ethnographic museum are homesteads from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century (houses with equipment, farm buildings), relics of the so-called "small architecture": roadside shrines, bread oven. There is also a collection of agricultural machinery from the mid-twentieth century and an exhibition of fire engines in a reconstructed brick-and-stone firehouse from Zlakowo Borowe and a brothel where an exhibition of fire-fighting equipment was prepared.
