Simone Young

Simone Young has been one of the most important conductors of our time for many years. She studied at her home, Sydney, came to the Cologne Opera through a scholarship, where she soon also served as a capellmeister and then was brought to the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden by Daniel Barenboim. In the same time, she developed an international career that brought her to all important opera houses and orchestras in the world, where she still is a regular guest, in only a few years. Among them for example the State Opera Vienna, the State Opera Unter den Linden Berlin, the Bavarian State Opera Munich, the Opéra national de Paris, the Semperoper Dresden, the Zürich Opera House, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, the Metropolitan Opera and many more.
