Paulina Pawlak's lecture will analyze suicides from the psychological perspective. You will be able to learn what suicidal thoughts, tendencies and acts are, learn about suicide categories, find out what drives a person who decides to take their own life, learn about myths and stereotypes about suicide, explore its relationship with depression and analyze statistical data on suicides in Poland. Part of the lecture will also be a discussion on methods of recognizing the signs of an upcoming attempt, learn how to ask, talk to adults and young people with suicidal thoughts and learn how to help.

Paulina Pawlak is a graduate of Psychology at the University of Łódź, specializing in health and clinical sciences. During the certification of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy at the CBT-EDU school in Warsaw, which has been recommended by the Polish Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (PTTPB). Also a Romanesque philologist. Fascinated with manipulation. She is interested in psycholinguistics.
